Accounting Clerk III


(Hampton, NH)

SUMMARY: Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks of an Accounting nature. Trained in various Accounting, Administrative and Clerical functions of moderate complexity requiring the exercise of some discretion and judgement. This position is also coverage for the Receptionist position and backup for some tasks of the Accounting Office Manager when required.


  • Processes and posts Daily Invoices for product shipped.
  • Credit Card transactions, processes charges and refunds.
  • A/P-matches invoices and receivers for payment processing/preparation, reconciles expense accounts and oversees A/P statement activity/research for accuracy.
  • Oversees DMR activity and issues Inventory DMR's.
  • Receives daily Cash Receipts, processes deposit with bank, and forwards receipts to Credit Dept.
  • Notify manager or lead immediately of any noticed machine/assembly problems.
  • Verifying and reporting of Sales Tax.
  • Receptionist duties including, answering phones, greeting visitors, sorting mail, and ordering and maintaining office supplies.
  • Maintains non-inventory purchase order system - approves vendor requests, reviews GL acct. selection, receives and closes p.o.'s, maintains current vendor W9 file, and provides credit reference information.
  • Maintains QA Intranet - performs General info. Maintenance/updates as needed. (Front Page Software.
  • Assist in Month end Closing of GL to prepare Financial Statements, including, Reconciling Bank Statements, Preparing Commissions Payable, and Reconciling Misc. General Ledger accounts.
  • Updates, maintains and creates word documents/spreadsheets and financial documents for Finance and H.R. departments as needed.
  • Maintains and updates ISO Training records for all personnel.
  • Maintains and updates Certificate of Liability Insurance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be required and or added as needed.

  • QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • High school diploma.
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Equivalent.
  • 2 - 3 years of Computer data entry, MicroSoft Word processing and Excel Spreadsheet skills.
  • Elliott / Epicor ERP experience is a plus.
  • Confidential and discretionary practices are essential.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Working knowledge of business English.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: High School level math proficiency.
