SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains custom designed precision machinery related to the production of intricate electrical assemblies. Corrects both machine and product documentation through communication with engineering personnel. Ensures manufacturing processes consistently produce products to print, or takes corresponding action to correct.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Sets-up, adjusts, repairs and troubleshoots, production assembly equipment as well as maintains manufacturing support equipment including heat treat ovens, cleaning systems, and finishing equipment Performs preventative maintenance according to the documented procedures on production equipment and all other supporting machinery. Helps to maintain existing maintenance documentation such as machine logs, and preventive maintenance schedules, confirming the program is current.
Identifies and communicates discrepancies in machine or product documentation, processes and/or procedures. This individual communicates this information to the appropriate personnel for correction. Initiates and follows through purchase orders for tools, equipment, and replacement/spare parts.
Perform any other assigned tasks, such as moving equipment, building repairs, or production support duties.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires a high level of agility to perform proficiently. Some tasks require kneeling or lying to complete. The production equipment is often times intricate and requires the handling of small and fragile components. Occasional heavy lifting of up to 50lbs is required. The physical demands may be met by individuals with disabilities if reasonable accommodations allow them to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Characteristic work environment is relatively clean and dry indoor work. In some instances, exposure to noise levels, chemicals, or heat, require the use of some protective equipment.
